The Old Rectory

A Stunning 17th Century Retreat

Nestled on a beautiful quiet lane, The Old Rectory Somerset is a quintessentially English countryside retreat, perfect for relaxing and taking in wonderful views.

From playing tennis, croquet or badminton, to a full organic English breakfast, and wine O’clock in the meadow; you are sure to leave The Old Rectory both pampered and refreshed.

The expansive property which dates back to the seventeenth century, and includes Georgian and Victorian features, comprises dining rooms, sitting rooms, a terrace, beautiful gardens recognised by The Somerset Wildlife Trust as wildlife-friendly, a meadow, an old apple orchard, and a tennis court. A gym and pool room are currently being created in the downstairs level known affectionately as The Dungeon.

Never look Back

Comfort & Traditional elegance

Guests have access to the entire property, and all the common areas have easy access to the gardens, which are perfect for strolling or gazing at while relaxing with a good book. There are various areas for enjoyment: the reading room with a baby grand piano, the sunbathing lawn, the table in the meadow, or the little woodland walk complete with pet cemetery and elf circle.

You will be encouraged to use the property to its full potential, whether to socialise with other guests (or your hosts!) or to find some seclusion in the peaceful country surroundings.

Your hosts will be Caroline and Allan Edwards. They have been doing this for many years, and have accordingly achieved Super Host status. You will be well looked after at The Old Rectory Somerset!
